As the third generation of the family, we look at Meiyin not only as a factory, but as a continuation of our family’s long relationship with musical instrument making.
What does Meiyin mean to your family?
Meiyin means continuity.
Before Meiyin was founded, our family had already been connected to musical instrument making for many years. My grandfather, Mr. Yin Liutang, was once the director of Xiqiao Branch of Shanghai Violin Factory, the predecessor of Fengling Musical Instruments. My second grandfather, Mr. Yin Liuguan, has also spent many years in instrument making and continues to work as an independent violin maker today.
For our family, musical instruments have never been only products. They are connected to work, memory, craftsmanship, and responsibility.
How did Meiyin begin?
Before founding Meiyin, my parents both worked at Fengling Musical Instruments. Their experience there gave them a real understanding of production, materials, factory management, quality control, and the discipline behind musical instrument manufacturing.
In 2001, they founded Taixing Meiyin Musical Instruments Co., Ltd.
From the beginning, Meiyin was not built as a trading company. It was built as a family-run manufacturing business with real roots in instrument production.
Why is Taixing important to Meiyin?
Taixing is an important part of Meiyin’s story.
For many overseas buyers, Taixing is a familiar name in China’s musical instrument manufacturing industry. Over the years, the city has built a strong connection with instrument production, skilled workers, supply chains, and manufacturing experience.
Growing in Taixing means that Meiyin is part of a larger musical instrument manufacturing environment. This local background helps us better understand production stability, quality control, and the real needs of overseas customers.
For us, Taixing is more than a location. It is part of our manufacturing identity.
Meiyin grew from a family connected to instrument making, and also from a city known for musical instrument manufacturing. This combination is an important part of who we are today.

A musical instrument is different from many other products. It has sound, touch, and feeling. Even in factory production, every detail matters: wood selection, body structure, neck setting, finishing, assembly, and final inspection.
This is why we believe stable quality comes from careful work.
How does Meiyin serve overseas customers today?
Today, Meiyin Musical Instruments has more than 100 employees and focuses mainly on acoustic guitars and classical guitars.
We provide OEM and ODM services for overseas brands, wholesalers, and distributors. Many customers are not only looking for a product. They are looking for a reliable manufacturing partner who can understand specifications, communicate clearly, support stable production, and build long-term cooperation.
This is the direction Meiyin continues to follow.
What is the future of Meiyin?
The market is changing. Overseas customers now learn about factories through exhibitions, websites, emails, social media, and online platforms. But the foundation of cooperation remains the same: trust, quality, responsibility, and consistency.
